David Leudecki-Kobiki

David Luedecke-Kobiki is a Japanese-focused equity analyst with Prospect Co. Ltd., based in Tokyo, Japan. Prior to joining Prospect, David received a China-focused MBA from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. It was during this time, that he was a student of Louis Perez’s Bloomberg course. David was born in Dallas, Texas but grew up in Honolulu, Hawaii, graduating from Iolani School in ’94 as a Senior Prefect and Cum Laude Society member. Upon graduation, he went to Cornell University to major in Civil and Environmental Engineering. Following his junior year abroad at the University College London, he changed his major to Asian Studies and graduated with a M.A. from Cornell in 1999. At Cornell, he played football, JV basketball, and freshman crew. David has spent a total of 5 years in Japan, 3 in Fukuoka, Kyushu, where he was an English teacher on the JET program. He is active at New Hope Christian Fellowship and enjoys surfing, playing basketball, tennis, and other team sports. David is also an Eagle Scout.
